Construction limits vehicular, pedestrian access at Greater Niagara General Site

Posted Nov 23rd, 2010

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Beginning on Thursday, Nov. 25, road and pedestrian traffic will be temporarily limited at certain access points at the Greater Niagara General Site due to construction activities. Work will begin Thursday at 7 a.m. in the area of the ambulance garage entrance and will take six to eight hours to complete.

On Friday, Nov. 26, construction moves to the entrance to the Emergency Department turn around and short-term parking areas. Access to these areas will be closed for six to eight hours beginning at 7 a.m.

Finally, construction will take place Monday, Nov. 29 at the front parking lot entrance, for the same period of time.

The revisions to the entrance aprons are required to improve driving and walking activity while entering and leaving the property, while at the same time improve the efficiency of snow removal. Access to these areas will be limited during construction due to the proximity of the road building equipment.
