Chris has been a funeral director since 1983 and is currently the general manager of J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence.

He holds a Certified Preplanning Consultant designation and is a member of the local council of Knights of Columbus. He is also a past-president of the Niagara District Funeral Service Association and has served on the executive of the Welland-Port Colborne

Photo of Nick DawsonNick Dawson is a Small Business Advisor with Scotiabank supporting their three Welland branches. He has over 15 years experience providing financial services to organizations of all sizes throughout Canada and the United States.

In 2003, Nick and his wife Shelley moved to Wellandport where they currently reside. They have two children – Douglas who is with the Canadian Armed forces based out of Edmonton and Lynda who holds a marketing position with an Oakville based company.

Nick's passions include camping, music and college football. He is involved in various local non-profit organizations and welcomes the opportunity to support local health care through the Welland Hospital Foundation

Photo of Astrid GoodmanAstrid Goodman was raised in rural Pelham, attended Brock University and now has a financial consulting practice located in Fonthill.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, the opera and cooking. Astrid is also a private pilot and relaxes by playing the piano.

As a lifelong resident of the region, Astrid has an appreciation of the importance of our community hospitals, and through personal experience has great respect for the doctors, nurses and staff of the Welland Hospital.

By lending her expertise to the Foundation, Astrid hopes to not only support the hospital – with its vital role in our community – but also to make a difference in the lives of the people who require its services, which are made possible in great measure by the generosity of people who donate to the foundation.

Photo of Kelly MadienKelly Madien and his wife Roweena have three children. His family moved to Welland three years ago, when he accepted the position with Desjardins Caisse populaire Welland as their Financial Planner.

He has over ten years experience in the financial and investment sector, having held advisor positions with life insurance and banking firms. He was a compliance manager for advisors, as well as managing bank branches. His education includes his designation as a Certified Financial Planner professional and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree from Laurentian University of Sudbury. Also, he is an Associate of the Institute of Canadian Bankers since 2002.

Kelly’s community service work in various locations includes and has included Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Easter Seals, MS society, Junior Achievement, Family and Children Services Board, United Way, and the Hospital foundation of Sturgeon Falls.

Photo of Clark PeddleClark Peddle is a lawyer who practices primarily commercial, real estate and estate law. He practices law with the firm of Flett Beccario.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Memorial University, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters of Arts degree from Brock University. Clark is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Welland County Law Association.

Clark has lived in Welland for over a decade where he is happily married to Christine (to a teacher of the blind) and has two girls, Avalon aged 6 and Camille aged 5

April and David have two children Eric, 10, and Sarah, 9. David is a chiropractor in private practice.

April is actively involved in her children's activities including hockey, soccer and dance. She enjoys volleyball, walking and golf.
