Medical Care
The Niagara Health System provides inpatient medical care for acutely-ill patients.
An inter-professional health team cares for these patients who are acutely ill, palliative and alternate level of care.
Most units offer a special designated room for the provision of therapies (physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech). Dedicated Case Managers / Discharge Planners and Social Workers assist in ensuring a care plan is in place.
