ST. CATHARINES – With 368 days left in the construction schedule, our new health complex and Walker Family Cancer Centre is reaching a significant milestone this weekend as it draws nearer to completion.
The design of our new health complex is based on best practice from around the globe, including focus on the patient experience and outcome, to inform state-of-the-art infection control measures and pandemic response. A collaborative approach to the design process took the strengths of local knowledge from our clinicians and global expertise of our architects to bring a world-class health-care facility to Niagara.
To mark this occasion, members of the media are welcomed to meet one of the lead architects of the joint venture B+H (Toronto) and STH (Australia), Bruce Crook who will be able to speak to the importance of utilizing evidence-based design and its impact on improved clinical outcomes.
