Turning the building into a hospital

Posted Jan 29th, 2012

While construction of our new hospital and cancer centre has continued progressing on time and on budget, we have been focusing our efforts turning the building into a hospital. In addition to departmental planning and over 15 cross-functional planning teams and task forces, we are mapping out the flows and processes before we open, to ensure we are prepared to provide the best possible patient experience.

Only 270 days until construction is complete!

While construction site access is still limited we have been focused on providing innovative ways to share information pertaining to our new hospital development. As part of this process, we will begin holding regular town halls to keep staff, physicians and volunteers posted on progress, and to demonstrate how we’re turning the building into a hospital that will provide exemplary care for our community. We will also be making this information accessible for staff at all of our sites to be involved as we prepare to provide one million square feet of care.
