Although over 85 per cent complete, the building is still an active construction site with over 600 workers on site daily, which has made it somewhat challenging to get staff inside the building for tours.

We are thrilled to have started staff tours and are elated by the enthusiasm and excitement from participants when getting to tour our new hospital. These tours are being scheduled for departments who will moving to the new site and are offered based on the construction completion schedule. For health and safety reasons, tours are limited to groups of 10 individuals. Managers are starting to receive invitations for their specific tour date.

Tours for the public and programs not moving to the new site in St. Catharines will be available sometime after construction is completed in the fall and before we open to provide patient care in the spring of 2013.
