The Walker Family Cancer Centre, Niagara Health System, invites members of the community to join guest speaker Dr. Allan Kellehear for a presentation on “Becoming a Compassionate Community”.
A leading palliative care expert, Dr. Kellehear will be discussing how communities can continue to build networks and come together to support individuals facing life-threatening illnesses. Dr. Kellehear is a Professor of Community Health at Middlesex University in London, UK, and author of several books on end-of-life care including: Compassionate Cities, Health Promoting Palliative Care, and International Perspectives on Public Health and Palliative Care.
