On May 6, hundreds of donors to the Niagara Health System will receive a phone call thanking them for their loyal support, but they won’t be asked to make a donation.
Community partner Minacs will be helping the OneFoundation for Niagara Health System reach out to our donors across Niagara in our first-ever Thank-a-thon initiative: calling donors simply to say ‘Thanks!’
“We have thousands of wonderful donors in the Niagara region,” says OneFoundation President and CEO Paulanne Jushkevich. “Taking the time to call them up and thank as many as possible is really the least we can do to show our gratitude for all they’ve done. Our donors are what has made great healthcare in Niagara a reality.”
“We are happy to be partnering with OneFoundation,” says Keith Callahan, Global Chief Delivery Officer for Minacs. “OneFoundation donors deserve all the thanks they can get for strengthening the Niagara Health System for the people of Niagara – including our 600+ employees. That is why we are joining in on the calling ourselves.”
Board members for both OneFoundation and the Niagara Health System will be joining community volunteers and Foundation team members to call donors from the Minacs site on Montrose Road in Niagara Falls. Altogether, over 30 people will be carving out time from their morning to call hundreds of donors over a 2 hour blitz. And solicitations are strictly forbidden.
“It’s a simple equation: The Niagara Health System is providing great care because we have great donors. Niagara is one of the most philanthropic regions in Ontario,” says Jushkevich. “And our Thank-a-thon volunteers are really excited to get on the horn and express our gratitude.”
