A legacy of remarkable philanthropic spirit

Niagara Health Foundation and Niagara Health are saddened to hear of the unexpected and tragic passing of Joe and Anita Robertson and their daughter Laura.

"The Robertsons will forever be remembered for their generosity and commitment to causes dear to their hearts across Niagara," says Roger Ali, President & CEO of Niagara Health Foundation. "They leave behind a legacy of remarkable philanthropic spirit and passion for their community and local healthcare."

"We would like to express our sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Joe, Anita and Laura Robertson. Joe and Anita’s commitment and dedication to our community was immense and inspiring," says Suzanne Johnston, Niagara Health President. "We are extremely grateful for their contributions to healthcare in Niagara and the lives they have touched through their generosity."

The Robertson family generously contributed to the It’s Our Time Campaign in support of Niagara Health’s St. Catharines Site and established the Robertson Education Fund. The bursary supports Niagara Health staff members who choose to continue their education at Brock University, reflecting the Robertson’s belief that investing in human resources enriches not just the individual, but their workplace, their community, and in the case of hospital workers – patient care.
