A big thank you to the riders, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and organizers of The Big Move Cancer Ride, which was held on Sunday, Sept. 9.
A total of 475 riders and more than 230 volunteers came together to support care at our Walker Family Cancer Centre.
As of Sunday, more than $320,000 had been raised. In its 10 years, the event has raised more than $3.7 million for cancer care in Niagara.
"It’s inspiring to see so many people coming together to support our Walker Family Cancer Centre," Niagara Health President Suzanne Johnston told riders at the event. "I know all of you have different reasons for why you’re inspired to ride today. Whatever your motivation is, please know how much we appreciate your commitment to healthcare in Niagara."
The generosity of our communities is essential to our teams providing high-quality care to patients and their loved ones.
