Niagara Health continues to gradually welcome back volunteers

Starting Monday, September 14, Niagara Health is pleased to welcome volunteers back to specific areas in its St. Catharines and Welland sites. At this time, volunteers will be available to assist patients and visitors in patient registration areas at both sites, as well as the Walker Family Cancer Centre in St. Catharines and the Ophthalmology Clinic in Welland.

All volunteers are following infection prevention and control measures in place at Niagara Health, including:

  • Passing screening before every shift;
  • Wearing a mask at all times;
  • Performing meticulous hand hygiene; and
  • Physical distancing.

Volunteers are valuable members of the Niagara Health team and will be gradually welcomed back in a way that maintains a safe environment for everyone at the hospital.
