Remember: Wear a mask and screen for COVID-19 before visiting a Niagara Health site

Posted Sep 29th, 2022

Screening for COVID-19 symptoms continues to be an important step for stopping the spread of this highly contagious virus.

Niagara Health is reminding all patients and visitors to screen for COVID-19 symptoms before entering the hospital by filling out the online form at NiagaraHealth.on.ca/Form. Be prepared to show your results when asked.

1. Patients: On the day of your scheduled appointment, let your care team know as soon as possible if you have symptoms. You may bring one support person with you, as long as they complete and pass the online COVID-19 screening form.

2. Visitors: Do not enter the hospital if you have symptoms. Please reschedule your visit for another time when you are symptom-free. Those testing positive for COVID-19 are not permitted to visit patients until 10 days after their positive test.

Remember that wearing a mask is mandatory at Niagara Health. The hospital is a high-risk environment with ill and vulnerable patients in our care. Visitors in the hospital must wear a mask at all times. Masks will be available at all entrances for those who need them.

We appreciate your co-operation. Read our visitor information to learn more about infection prevention and control guidelines for patients and visitors.
