Niagara Health is recognizing 16 individuals and two teams who embody the spirit of collaboration during its 17th annual Interprofessional Practice Awards.
Interprofessional practice brings together healthcare professionals from across disciplines to enhance patient care. This model allows team members at Niagara Health to share information, knowledge and best practices, resulting in improved patient outcomes.“This year, we received a record number of outstanding peer nominations from different disciplines across our organization, and choosing the award recipients was no easy feat,” says Simon Akinsulie, Executive Vice-President, Practice, Clinical Support and Chief Nursing Executive at Niagara Health. “This tremendous response has demonstrated the profound impact that our Interprofessional team members have on the lives of patients, family members and their colleagues.”
The Interprofessional Practice Awards nominees and recipients continuously demonstrate the importance of leadership and dedication to safe, quality care, in line with Niagara Health’s strategic purpose, vision and CORE values.
