Eleven-year-old Thomas Woodruff of Niagara Falls is the talented artist and grand prize winner. The Grade 6 Orchard Park School student spent a great deal of time and attention making his entry a perfect fit for the Niagara Health holiday card.
“Thomas worked so hard on his drawing. This is his first year entering the contest and he is thrilled to be selected as the winner,” says Thomas’ mother, Tina Woodruff, a Registered Nurse at our St. Catharines Site.
As the grand prize winner, Thomas’ drawing is featured on the 2016 Niagara Health Holiday Card. We received 54 entries this year and 380 staff votes for the contest’s Your Favourite category.
“Thomas’ drawing depicts Extraordinary Caring by showing how even a small gesture can make a big difference in someone’s day,” says Niagara Health President Dr. Suzanne Johnston. “It was wonderful to see so many inspirational entries that demonstrate Extraordinary Caring at Niagara Health. It is never an easy task to select the winners.”
Thomas is joined by four other artists, who are winners in the following categories:
Your Favourite: Robbie Law, age 11, Fonthill
Age 3-5: Lily Saxon, age 5, St. Catharines
Age 6-8: Anne Marie Tokadjian, age 7, St. Catharines
