Changes to Urgent Care Centre Summer Hours

Effective as of July 1, summer hours at both UCCs will run throughout July, August and into early September.

Urgent Care Centres are for minor illnesses and injuries, not emergencies.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 or go directly to an Emergency Department.

If you visit a Urgent Care Centre with a medical emergency, 9-1-1 will be called.

Summer hours at both UCCs will run throughout July, August and into early September.

  • The Fort Erie site will continue to be closed on Fridays from July 4 through mid-September.
  • Fort Erie UCC will be closed on the Civic Holiday long weekend (Aug. 1 to 4) and open on the Labour Day long weekend (Aug. 30 to Sept. 1)
  • In Port Colborne, the Urgent Care Centre will remain closed on Saturdays throughout the summer.
  • Port Colborne UCC will be open the Civic Long Weekend (Aug. 1 to 4) and on the Labour Day long weekend (Aug. 30 to Sept. 1)

Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP)

The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Regional Mobile Cancer Screening Coach offers free, monthly OBSP screening services at Bridges Community Health Centre in Fort Erie the second Tuesday of each month. Niagara Health has three full-service Ontario Breast Screening Program Centres and Assessment Clinics in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland.
