I-EQUIP is the Interprofessional Education for Quality Improvement Program that is a collaboration between Dr. Madelyn Law at Brock University in the Department of Health Sciences and numerous health system partners including Niagara Health. Niagara Health was the first core partner that helped to shape and support the program over the past ten years. I-EQUIP provides an opportunity for health professionals and students to engage in the development and implementation of quality improvement projects. To date, there have been 65 projects with over 200 participants that have focused on connecting research evidence and innovative out-of-the-box thinking to improve health services and programs at the NH. With an emphasis on the use of current research evidence, quality improvement, teamwork and leadership to impact change, these projects have demonstrated results to impact the care of our patients.
