Niagara Health Releases 2024–2025 Annual Report

Posted Jun 25th, 2025

Niagara Health has released its 2024–2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of steady progress and major milestones as the organization works toward building a stronger, more modern hospital system for Niagara.

The report outlines key achievements tied to Niagara Health’s 2023–2028 Strategic Plan, with a focus on teamwork, innovation and improving care for patients and families across the region.

“Transformation is never easy, but this year’s report reflects the real progress we’re making — together,” said Lynn Guerriero, President and CEO of Niagara Health. “From strengthening our workforce to improving how care is delivered, every step forward is guided by our shared vision of building a more equitable, connected and sustainable hospital system for everyone in Niagara.”

The 2024–2025 Annual Report focuses on significant accomplishments, including:

  • Enhancing patient safety and quality, including reducing hospital-acquired infections and achieving accreditation for our Lab and CT services.
  • Engaging more directly with patients and families, using new tools and feedback channels to better understand their experience.
  • Investing in our teams — from leadership development to wellness programs to growing a more inclusive workplace.
  • Launching our new Hospital Information System (HIS) — a major shift that is changing how we document, coordinate and deliver care.
  • Continued construction on the South Niagara Hospital and expanded conversations with the community about our three-site hospital system.
  • Growing our research and innovation efforts to support more responsive, sustainable care.
“This report underscores what’s possible when we lead with purpose and put people at the centre of everything we do,” said Marylee O’Neill, Chair of the Niagara Health Board of Directors. “We are grateful to our dedicated staff, physicians, learners, volunteers and partners for helping shape the future of care in our region.”

The report also highlights Niagara Health’s commitment to engaging with the people it serves and using that feedback to drive change — from co-designing care experiences with patients and families to using digital tools and data to better meet community needs.

The 2024–2025 Annual Report is now available on the Niagara Health website.
