The experiential research program provides an invaluable opportunity for undergraduate and medical students to gain hands-on research experience and develop critical skills in data collection, analysis, and potentially manuscript writing. Students are assigned embedded research projects where they work closely with the NHKI team, contributing to ongoing studies under the supervision and mentorship of experienced researchers. Currently, the program supports two undergraduate students and three medical students, who actively participate in various aspects of the research process. Additionally, the program offers summer student scholarships, which are paid full-time positions, providing an opportunity for undergraduate students to immerse themselves in research over an extended period. This program not only enhances students' academic and professional development but also strengthens the overall research capacity at the NHKI.
