Speech Language Pathology

Speech language pathologists have specialized skills, knowledge and clinical training in the identification, assessment, treatment and management of swallowing, communication and cognitive communication disorders.

They are regulated by the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and hold a master’s or doctorate degree. Inpatient services are available across all Niagara Health sites.

Outpatient services available with physician referral:

  • Videofluoroscopy swallowing assessment (VFSA) at Marotta Family, Niagara Falls and Welland hospitals
  • Outpatient communication and cognitive communication assessment and treatment at the Niagara Falls and Welland hospitals
