Urgent Care Centre Hours
Hours at the Urgent Care Centres in Fort Erie and Port Colborne are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
They are subject to change, please check our website regularly for updates.
IMPORTANT: Due to physician staffing shortages, the Port Colborne Urgent Care Centre (UCC) hours will have the following adjustments:
Friday, July 17: The Port Colborne UCC will be closing at 3 p.m.
Saturday, July 18: The Port Colborne UCC will be closing at 3 p.m.
Sunday, July 19: The UCC will operate as scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday, July 20: The Port Colborne UCC will be closed for the day.
Know Your Healthcare Options
Many of the conditions for which people seek care at Urgent Care Centres are ones that are typically managed by primary care.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 or go directly to an Emergency Department.
For non-emergency health concerns, primary care should be your first point of care. This includes:
- Primary care providers
- Walk-in clinics, nurse practitioner led clinics, community health centre and mobile health units and pharmacists
- Virtual Urgent Care: Make a virtual appointment for urgent care by visiting UrgentCareOntario.ca
- Health Connect Ontario: Call 8-1-1 or visit Health811.Ontario.ca to chat with a registered nurse 24/7 via phone or web chat
Access community resources
There are many services available in our community.
The NOHT-ÉSON's Resource Navigator is a great resource to local and
provincial services, pointing you to
health and social care in your community.
Your primary care provider will:
Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries
Make referrals to healthcare specialists for help with specific conditions
Can support you in managing chronic conditions (such as diabetes of high blood pressure)
Provide regular checkups, including physicals and routine screening tests and write prescriptions for medication
Find a Family Doctor
If you do not have a primary care provider, register with Health Care Connect. A nurse will help you search for a doctor or nurse practitioner who is accepting new patients in the community.
Another option is to reach out to local healthcare providers directly, visit the Niagara Region's website for a full list of doctors who are currently accepting new patients.
