Our Infection Prevention & Control and Occupational Health & Safety teams, in partnership with Niagara Region Public Health, will monitor the situation closely and adjust our measures as required to ensure everyone’s safety.
Niagara Health has declared an outbreak of COVID-19 on an inpatient unit at the St. Catharines Site after one of our healthcare workers tested positive for the virus.

To increase safety, efficiency and screen more patients, the COVID-19 Assessment Centre at Niagara Health’s St. Catharines Site is offering a drive-through service for those referred.
We have created a new section on our website where we report on the patient activity and testing taking place at Niagara Health related to COVID-19.
To enhance safety and mitigate the financial burden placed on families during this time, all patients, staff and physicians now have free parking at all Niagara Health sites.
Niagara Health is saddened to report the second death late yesterday afternoon of a patient being treated at our St. Catharines Site for COVID-19. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the patient’s loved ones as they deal with this terrible loss.
In an effort to further support a safe patient care and work environment for all, Niagara Health is placing additional restrictions on personal items and food that can be dropped off to patients at all hospital sites.
