COVID-19 cases are increasing again in the Niagara community and in our hospital, consistent with the reports from experts that we are in the fourth wave of the pandemic. This wave is increasingly being described as the wave of the unvaccinated.
Today Niagara Health completed its final day at the Seymour-Hannah mass vaccination clinic. In total, Niagara Health has administered 253, 679 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to Niagara residents – almost 40 per cent of all doses given in the region.
Starting Friday, Aug. 13, Niagara Health will expand visitor presence to include anyone six years of age and older.
