Dr. Dimitri Koutsogiannis

Dr. Dimitri Koutsogiannis is the Interim Chief of Laboratory Medicine at Niagara Health.

As a practicing pathologist and active staff physician at Niagara Health since 2008, Dr. Koutsogiannis brings a wealth of experience to his ongoing leadership and vision for the Laboratory Department. During his time at Niagara Health, he has been the Site Director of Laboratory at the Welland Hospital Site as well as the Head of Autopsy Services and Hematopathology.

Dr. Koutsogiannis graduated from medical school at McGill University and attended a pathology residency program at the University of Western Ontario.

Born and raised in St. Catharines, Dr. Koutsogiannis has a passion to serve and give back to his community. He is currently an active participant in the South Niagara Build team as the Laboratory Medicine Lead.
