Construction began on the South Niagara Hospital in July 2023. We are well on our way to opening a new state-of-the-art facility in 2028.
The new South Niagara Site will be an integral part of our connected healthcare system that centralizes services from existing facilities, making it easier for residents to access the care they need at one location, provide an overall better experience, and enable communities to be healthier.
By concentrating our resources at three regional sites, we will be better able to meet the growing needs of local residents with expanded services, support our staff and physicians, and keep pace with advancements in care. The Niagara region will also be well served by a full scope of acute care services provided at this site – a full-service Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, complex care, mental health and addiction services, surgical care, dialysis, diagnostics, and much more.
